Purchased two. Monitors are good for the price. No dead pixels. Good performance with older video card (128mb) and older PC (2Ghz Pentium4).
I have been a dedicated ViewSonic monitor fan since I began my graphic design business more than 15 years ago. That being said, I’ve only had two of them because that’s all I’ve needed. The first one was a CRT and lasted for years until I decided I wanted an LCD. I went back to ViewSonic because of my previous experience and for their outstanding prices. That was almost five years ago and my ViewSonic LCD is still going strong and is still perfect. I’m a graphic designer and work on it nearly every single day and I have never had a problem. As far as Viewsonic is concerned — it is the only brand of monitor for me!
I originally ordered these monitors for each of my teenage kids as a Christmas present to replace older CRT’s and to free up desk space. As a technology buff, I have been surprised to find myself shopping for electronics on Amazon; however, I must admit that I have been pleased with the selection of high-quality items available, the free shipping deals, and with their prices. With this purchase, the monitors were very competitively-priced and arrived quickly and safely to my doorstep within a couple of days.
I would say that everything was perfect, but one of the monitors did have a “stuck pixel”, which means that it has one small dot of bright green light on the screen that won’t turn off. It arrived that way and we have not been able to un-stick it; though, since it is in the upper left-hand corner, it has not been an issue and has not affected using the monitor. This is common to LCD monitors and can often be remedied with carefully-placed pressure (get professional help before you try it!) and is not the fault of either Amazon or ViewSonic.
Overall, the picture quality is excellent and the price and service from Amazon were very good, as usual. I recommended this monitor, through Amazon, to others, who have all been happy with their purchases as well.
The N3735w is listed as an LCD TV, not monitor.
I don't see anything in the manual, linked below, that says the picture can be rotated verticle into portrait.
Monique, I think between the two of us we’ve come to a mutual understanding of both sides. I think a lot of us misinterpreted what was said, but all we really saw was someone stalking a baby and jumped to conclusions. I’m glad you understand why so many of us were disturbed by what you said, and may have made a fuss.

Some of the Sony compacts allow for an adapter ring to be added that clips around the extended lens and screws into the tripod mount allowing you to add a super wide or fisheye lens.

It's a very Heath-Robinson arrangement though, and you'd still have to find the fisheye. My concern would be that the large amount of glass in a fisheye means even with the adapter I don't think it would sit straight!

The other thing to look for there are a few DIY projects out there on the internet, that involve the type of fish eye people fit in their doors so they can see callers. These are even more Heath-Robinson (and I've even sen people selling these for ridiculously high prices).
