Surround Gaming
COD4 on three monitors using Matrox TripleHead2Go and Widescreen Fixer 1.47. I start off with the image being stretched across all three monitors and then I enable the Widescreen Fixer which increases my field of view (FOV). Having a bigger monitor will not increase the amount of map you can see. You can see in the background my 110" screen. I can play COD4 on it but I cannot see to the left and the right like I can using TripleHead2Go. I tried messing with softTH but this works a lot better. No crashes, no punkbuster kicks. I am using a Nvidia 9800GT, TripleHead2Go Analog, Quad Core, 4 gig ram, Windows XP, Gigabyte Mobo. Soon I will get another 19" monitor to match the other two. I was merely testing surround gaming to see how well it worked before I went out and spent all the money. Now that I know it works and love the experience it gives I am going to complete my setup for surround gaming. I hope this helps you learn how to set up your system and helps you decide whether or not you want your computer to perform like this.

@gapek1 I did have the triple monitors on Ubuntu but because I never got COD4 running on Ubuntu I stopped and put Ubuntu on my other computer. I know it can be done, but I’m too lazy to figure it out. The Matrox box I’m using is $300-$320. Cirago just came out with one that is $180 and of course ATI and Nvidia now off this capability with their cars but you do need two cards with the Nvidia and ATI nedded something special too. Now if we can just get super wide monitors cheap.
Hi!
Did you tried this in linux? I saw some awsome muliple monitor videos in linux too.
If you notice in the background though I have a 110″ screen. You can only see it’s corner. I tried doing the three screens with it when I was testing but the softTH wouldn’t work with the Sony. I haven’t tried it with the TH2G but there’s no point now that I have my three matching monitors.
So yeah, I had to bring the junk out for testing but I would like to see how your monitors compare with mine. Who’s pathetic now? I can play COD on my 110″ screen with 5.1 surround from my lazyboy.
I was trying the system out to see if it worked. I now have three matching monitors. When I get time I will post a new video with all three good monitors.
You are right though, that monitor is crap, lol.
wats up with the shity moniotr at the end lolz its pathetic
