   I had considered this but it is like hundred bucks for the adapter bbecause it is also a tuner. You could probably get it at Radio Shack. They will know what you need.

   After removing all the screws you may find the door trim is very hard to remove because renault clip the trim to the door and they also put some sealer between the door trim and the door frame to prevent water ingress in to the car. Just double check that all the screws have been removed, then use a little more force to pull the trim away from the door. if the trim is really stubborn, try sliding a thin knife blade between the trim and the door to cut the sealer.
   usually if the door will not open from the outside the clip that holds the operating bar to the door handle breaks off. i have repaired them in the past by using a small rivet to hold it to the door handle, other wise you hav to buy a complete door handle from renault !!
