Number 2 on Tom’s Hardware List when released, high contrast ratio and super fast at 2ms! 2000:1 Contrast ratio…this monitor was purchased for Photoshop and Illustrator…upgraded again! Still under warranty…not sure about transfer though. Works perfect, no dead pixles…I have a laptop so it really was’nt being used for much beyond photo work.

I’ve seen the Samsung 2333HD advertised as a 23″ monitor with a TV tuner. Now why would they say it that way? I dunno, but I’ll tell you what. This TV is nice colors, clear, crisp, heck it even tilts on its stand, plus you can use it as a computer monitor. I can’t think of a reason not to buy this quality LCD screen… except…
on the side there is are buttons, press one of them until you enter the settings, then change it…. or just look in your user guide how to do it

DVI works by sending a digital video signal from the video card to the monitor.
VGA works by having the video card RAMDAC (RAM digital to analog converter) convert the digital image data in the card's memory into analog first, then sending that analog signal over the VGA cable to the monitor, where the monitor has to reconvert the analog signal back to digital and display it on the panel.
Personally, I don't see the point in converting the signal to analog then back again, so I preferentially use DVI whenever possible.

Remove the signal cable. Does it tell you No Signal? If not, then the power supply may have gone. If it does, then it is probably video card related.
