I have a 19inch TV that I need to get rid of. It works except for the video cables but the cable straigt to the TV still works. Call me if you would like to come get it. 805-338-5579.

try right-clicking on the desktop and goto properties and un-check the box saying use this as my default monitor and un-check the box extend my desktop on this monitor, then find your new monitor and check both the boxes, then click apply, then ok, if ok is not clicked and the window is closed the settings may be wiped. This may not work, but through my experiences this should work, at least until the monitor is disconnected or the computer is rebooted.

The LCD panel itself lasts for many many years. However, it is the backlight and/or its power inverter that tend to fail first (sometimes quite early). It is very likely that your monitor just needs backlight replacement.

This was a catch 22 for me. Obviously to see my baby, and check they are OK was a good one. But I decided wireless technology is still in its infant days. Who knows in the future, whether exposing a baby to radiation is good for them. That's why I went with a wired monitor. So any wired monitor is the one I would choose, but that's the problem, most are wireless. Babies are especially vulnerable because their bodies and nervous systems are still developing and because they will have more time to accumulate exposure to the radiation and for any delayed effects to develop. The jury is out, but I don't personally want to be a guineepig.

But in the end went with just a simple wired sound monitor. You can put them closer, due to a much smaller magnetic field and hear the baby breathing . It maybe that magnetic fields dont harm the baby, but there have been some concerns in some of the trustworthy papers here in UK such as the independant.

why would anyone have 3? just get a 60 inch hdtv, 360 with hdmi out and 5.1 sourrnd. 3 montors just seems to be cluter.

I have a Kill-a-watt P4400 it was around $20, they might have a newer model out though. I suppose it does what it is supposed to, but it is annoying because the meter default reading is voltage, when I suppose most people are interested in watts. Well, you only need to press a button to get the watt reading, but still, that's one button too many.

Depends on the monitor. There are a lot of monitors that have such a thin edge its a seamless transition.
Bought this 19inch Samsung TV for our renovated kitchen and it looks great and works great. Sound is a little tinny but fine for this use. Unit is compact and lightweight so it kind of blends in with the countertop and other appliances that have black on them.
