How do I change the size of text on a 19″ monitor from my 15″ laptop?

I just hooked up a 19" monitor and want to fill the screen and not sure how. I have a Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop and the 19" monitor is a ViewSonic P95f.

if you have dual monitors, you can change the resolution on the monitor by right clicking on the screen Then choose properties Choose hte monitor by clicking on it then choose the resolution.
If you have your laptop hooked so the text displays only on the 19″ the same procedures should work.
Go into Internet Explorer click on tools and you change it there.
