Broken Apple ColorSync Monitor

Broken ColorSync 19" Monitor. I originally picked it up off the side of the road (after it'd been there for 2 days) and it surprisingly worked when I first tested it. unfortunately all it does is scream now.

My friend has similar this and it was ton ton ton ton heavy like a elephant to pick it up.
@smartalex61 I once had an imac (old crt portable desktop), that I wasn’t using so I gave it to my uncle, and since then I wish I had it, I found two G3 PowerPcs, the blue clear plastic kind, and I use them for games and stuff that wouldn’t work on the PCs…
I found a compaq monitor on the curb – it works fine.

that happened to my CRT monitor i just smashed it
Its like this ray of death and pure evil that comes out of the monitor for a few seconds………
well since the high voltage and horizontal is powered off the same circuitry, and you have a line, its safe to say the horizontal circuits ARE functioning. you my friend have trouble in the yoke or yoke return circuits. bad solder joints are the most probable cause.

Yeah, I’m always afraid to throw things away for that reason.
well that’s kinda a collactable. no really big value but hang on to it and it will get some value. these kind of problems are sometimes very easy to repair.

I think it’s kinda short circuit on horiz. deflection coil or the transistor connected to that coil’s failing.
… if the crt had a deguass option you could select it OR bang it… if it doesn’t work buy a new one…

Nah, I don’t think it would be worth it. It’s about 10-12 years old, and I got it for free. But thanks for the offer.
Bring to the apple techinical suport, I don´t now if apple can repair this, I work on apple but I can ask and if you wabt you can send to apple.
